Jonathan Dubrulle: A Life of Purpose, Presence, and Powerful Contrasts

There are stories that follow the script—and then there are stories like Jonathan Dubrulle’s. A former financial professional turned model, magazine contributor, healer, and advocate, his life is an unfolding narrative of resilience, reinvention, and radical self-awareness.

From meeting rooms in New York to magazine covers across Europe, and now to healing rooms in Madrid, Jonathan’s journey defies categorization. What remains constant is his grounding belief: “Getting to know yourself is the essence of the foundation to fly.”
That clarity, he says, is the compass for all meaningful impact.

From Numbers to Narratives

Jonathan’s professional story began in some of the world’s most high-powered environments Thomson Reuters offices across Brussels, Geneva, Singapore, and New York. With a Master’s in Economics from KU Leuven (one of the top 50 universities globally) and fluency in four languages, he had all the makings of a global executive.

But life had other plans.

An unexpected photoshoot turned into a gateway to fashion magazines in Amsterdam and Barcelona. Writing assignments evolved into contributing to Brainz Magazine and Health & Wellbeing. And a calling for deeper impact led him into the healing world, where he now practices the Spinal Flow Technique in Madrid offering affordable treatments not for profit, but for purpose.

“I want healing to be accessible in a city where people love holding hands,” he says, speaking with the emotional clarity that defines his presence. “It’s not just about monetization it’s about inspiring communities that are often unseen.”

Trials, Turnarounds & Unshakable Luck

Jonathan’s journey hasn’t been without storms. A mental health crisis in New York led to hospitalization a chapter that shook him but never shattered him. “Being taken by ambulance from the Times Square office of a global finance group to Bellevue Hospital was a defining moment,” he shares.

And yet, through the darkest tunnels came unexpected light. In 2025 alone, a cascade of serendipitous events followed from complimentary hotel upgrades and services across Europe to major publishing opportunities and a feature in the Asian market via Unified Brainz.

His philosophy? “Good vibes, manners, and social grace attract the kind of luck that transforms lives.”

Purpose Over Prestige

Ask Jonathan what fuels him, and he doesn’t hesitate: “Impact. Too many people are living heartless and soulless lives,” he says. “I want to help people feel truly alive now not when they retire.”

That belief spans across industries. Whether influencing fashion norms, advocating for LGBTQ+ visibility, or working with clients on healing, Jonathan brings a rare blend of emotional intelligence and spiritual maturity. A vegetarian since childhood, he is deeply rooted in empathy for both humanity and animals “even watering my plant feels like part of the mission,” he laughs.

A Leader in His Own Lane

To Jonathan, leadership isn’t about power or position, it’s about people. “It means caring about someone’s development professionally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually,” he says. “Leadership is doing the right thing even when it’s hard, like being a 12-year-old vegetarian boy in Belgium.”

He believes leaders should create more leaders, not followers. He’s lived that truth in how he shares knowledge, invites vulnerability, and helps others find the courage to live authentically.

Achievements with Heart

Jonathan’s accomplishments stretch across disciplines—corporate, academic, creative, and personal:

  • Former employee at Thomson Reuters in four countries.
  • Master’s in Economics from KU Leuven; BSc in Health Sciences.
  • Participant in reality TV show Lost in Tokyo (filmed in Japan).
  • Featured in Selin Magazine (Amsterdam) and Enzomnia (Barcelona).
  • Executive contributor to Brainz Magazine and Health & Wellbeing.
  • Radio guest on News for the Soul.
  • Multilingual: Dutch, English, French, and Spanish.
  • Early accolades include 4th place in Belgian National Chess Championships (Under-12), a naming award for accountancy software DALI, and prestigious scholarships from the Flemish Government and ERASMUS program.

Lead Before It’s Late

While many hustle through the rat race, Jonathan’s approach is more intentional. “The rat race has value—it sharpens your skills. But eventually, you need to use those skills to serve something greater.” He echoes Warren Buffett’s wisdom: “Don’t wait for old age to do meaningful things. Start now.”

A Life Aligned: Heart, Brain, and Soul

At the core of Jonathan’s worldview is love unapologetic, inclusive, and expansive. “The people I love are my muse,” he says. His goal? To find alignment between heart, brain, and soul. And help others do the same.

From the outside, his life may look eclectic. But when you trace the thread, it’s all deeply connected by one thing: conscious living. Whether he’s healing, modeling, writing, or simply being Jonathan Dubrulle is a reminder that true leadership begins with knowing who you are and choosing, every day, to live with intention.
